Intricately designed with freshly added features, the new automatic variant LX 125 of the original Vespa has recently been introduced by Piaggio at the Auto Expo 2012.

Since the launch of the all new Vespa Scooters, the machine has received overwhelming response from the Indian buyers. The entire strategy has been planned in order to strengthen the brand’s market presence in the upcoming year.
As per the Chairman and MD of Piaggio Vehicles, Mr Ravi Chopra, the company is looking forward to see at least 1,00,000 unites of the Vespa scooter by introducing the striking variants of the regular Vespa scooter like Sports variant, Disk Brake variant and 150 Cc variant. Being an automatic scooter, new Vespa variants are believed to be performance oriented.
The 150 CC variant scooter is expected to be launched in 2013, whereas the Sports variant may take time and could only be out later in the year. Here are the features and technical specifications for the new variants of the Vespa scooter:
- Semi-digital console
- 125cc (Sports) engine
- Max. output of 12 BHP
- Automatic transmission
- Front disk brake
- Square Headlights
- Red suspension rod
- Black springs
- Red Taillights
- No fuel injection system
The ex-showroom (Ahmedabad) price for the Vespa LX125 is Rs. 59,700/- , but the new variants like LXS125 is said to be priced atleast Rs. 4000 more than the LX125 Vespa.
