The updates Force Motors Gurkha gets new styling with redesigned headlights and a new grille. It also gets new roof rails, fog lamps as standard and alloy wheels from their flagship SUV Force One. From the inside, the SUV gets Air Conditioner, Power Steering and Dual Tone interiors.
The Gurkha is powered by Mercedes-Benz’s 2.6-litre OM616-based diesel engine which is also used in various other Force Motors cars as well. The engine churns out 81bhp of power at 3200rpm and 23.45kgm of torque at 1800rpm and is mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox.
The German manufacturer’s engine is currently available only as a BS-III version in Gurkha where a BS-IV variant is expected later. The Gurkha’s only rival Mahindra Thar comes with BS-III as well as more powerful BS-IV CRDe units.
